Coming Home Blog Tour and Giveaway!!

Adult Contemporary Romance
Released January 21, 2014

Leah Marino hasn’t been on a date in two years. After discovering the man she loved had manipulated and deceived her, she refuses to even entertain the idea of a relationship. Instead, she focuses her attention on taking care of her family, a role she’s assumed since the death of her mother and the one place she knows her kindness won't be taken advantage of again.

When a nostalgic trip back to her childhood home results in a chance encounter with Danny DeLuca, a smart-mouthed mechanic who’s as attractive as he is mysterious, Leah's carefully cultivated walls begin to crumble. She finds herself unexpectedly drawn to Danny, despite his unreliable behavior and mixed signals.

But Danny has a secret...

One that could shake Leah's already precarious foundation and bring her world crashing down around her. Suddenly, she's faced with an incredibly difficult decision--is she willing to risk everything for the chance at finding the love she's always wanted? Or are some obstacles just too big for the heart to overcome?

Coming Home was a very sweet, slow building romance. It was told around two struggling characters. It was well written and very romantic. There were heartbreaking parts and some very angsty parts that made the book well rounded.

Leah is scarred from her last boyfriend. Danny, the sexy mechanic, had a secret past keep me interested in the book. The two find each other, but will love prevail, though secrets are bound to keep them apart?

While I was interested in the secret, and the story was cute, I found my mind wandering a few times. I liked this book, but LOVED her previous books. To me, the plot twist didn't reach out and grab me.

Overall, I liked it. If you're a hopeless romantic, you'll like it!

Leaving her lying, cheating fiancé was easy. Immediately finding a new living situation, not so much. When Sara Bradley’s best friend, Lisa, offers her a not so perfect solution. She could move in with Lisa’s brother, Nick. Sara doesn’t think that’s the best idea, but if it’s only just temporary, she’s willing to try. When Sara’s mother comes to town to pay her a surprise visit, excited to meet Sara’s boyfriend, the one she just dumped, she knows she’ll never live down her awful track record with men. Nick Moreno likes living alone, but when his baby sister calls him and asks him to help out a friend of hers, he can’t say no. His brother, Jake, is immediately smitten by his new roommate. When Nick and Jake tag along to help Sara deal with her mother’s unexpected visit, Jake creates havoc, as only he can do. Jake convinces Nick and Sara to pretend to be engaged just to get through the visit. How hard could it be? They’re already living together. Nick grudgingly agrees. After all, what could possibly go wrong? Pursued by one brother, and completely confused by the other, what’s a girl with a pretend fiancé and real feelings to do? Book One in the Moreno Trilogy

Sara felt her breath catch in her throat for the second time in two days, and he looked away. Since the light was going down and the sun was to his back, she couldn’t see what color his eyes were, but she already knew that intense gaze was a deep green. She felt his eyes on her once more and the familiar tingles tickled their way up and down her spine.
The man from the gas station.
This was completely incredible. What were the odds of Sara running into not one, but both of Lisa’s brothers in the same day? Both coming to her rescue with two very different scenarios playing out and with her having two totally different reactions to the men. There’s no way I’m going to be able to pull this off! Live with this man? They would completely drive each other insane. This cannot be happening!

S.K. Weathers was born in Colorado, but grew up an Army Brat. Having lived in Texas, California, and Utah, her family moved back to Colorado when she was in 6th grade. Growing up, she was painfully shy and had a hard time with moving constantly and making friends. She read quite a bit when she was younger and her love of reading only increased over time. In grade school she would write for fun, and then in high school she wrote several uncompleted works. Writing was a creative outlet for her during stressful times in her life. Then one day she stumbled upon a fanfiction site where everyday people would write stories about their favorite literary, television and movie characters. She published several short stories and the feedback she received was positive enough she went back to works she had never finished and revisited them. After urging from a couple of friends she decided to take the plunge and self-publish. Fiancé for Hire is her first published work. She has a day job, but hopes that one day she will be able to write full time.

Change Me Blog Tour and Giveaway!!

Title: Change Me
Author: Lynne Taylor
Genre: Contemporary Romance

...because sometimes big changes are too much to take...

Sarah Fowler has spent her life accepting mediocrity. Being a plus-sized girl with only average looks, her self esteem leaves a lot to be desired.

When the most perfect male God has ever created approaches her, Sarah battles with herself, wanting desperately to believe her fairy tale is coming true. Will she be able to accept his advances as genuine? Will she step out of her private, comfortable world and allow herself to be vulnerable to him?

Dane McAllister is a heart-throb of a man who has his own demons. Having a rocky past, he has all but sworn off women. But when he sees Sarah, his world begins to turn again. There's something about her that draws him in.

Will Dane be able to truly overcome his past and be the man Sarah longs for, or will he deepen her lifelong wounds?

“My God. If you get any sweeter, I’m going to have to have you for dessert!” I say, widening my eyes crazily and suddenly begin growling and fake-biting at her neck playfully.
She wiggles and laughs out loud as I tighten my hold on her not letting her escape my playful attack. This is so much fun! We struggle and play until she loses her footing and I collapse on top of her on the couch.  Her twinkling eyes tell me she’s quite comfortable…and happy to be beneath me.
I can’t fight it. I have to kiss her. I stare into her eyes intently and lightly brush the strands of hair off her forehead, then stroke her cheek with the back of my hand. I bring my lips so close to hers and pause. I have to. Otherwise, there will be no dinner. Finally, when I feel I can have an element of control, I gently brush my lips against hers. The intensity that passes through this tender kiss is overwhelming. My mind goes dizzy as she wraps her arms around my neck drawing me in closer. When she feels my arousal through my pants pressed against her thigh I can tell she is pleased by the moan I feel humming through her lips, lighting a fire deep in my soul. She moves slightly, and I can tell she wants to feel it. I re-position myself with a slight grind, causing her to pull her head back breathlessly while I caress her exposed neck. Suddenly ripped from our heady affections, the annoying knock at the door causes me to drop my head defeated into the crook of her neck with a frustrated groan. She giggles and laughing with her is all I am able to do.

As I climb off of her to stand I catch her eyes widening in amazement as she checks out my package. Thank goodness these pajama pants have a button closure on the fly, or she may have seem more than she bargained for. She sees my reaction to her stare and begins to blush, so I give her a silly hip wiggle just to make her laugh. She throws both hands over her eyes laughing hysterically and I head to the door to collect our dinner.

I was born and raised in Michigan, though I absolutely hate winters! Why do I stay? Because I would rather freeze half to death and brave the wintery travel than to be more than a couple of miles away from my family.
I am a mother to an Awesome, Unique, Talented, Intelligent, Special, Magnificent little girl…and if you didn’t catch the acronym, she is autistic. She makes life interesting, and I am blessed to say that she is not severely affected by it. She’s a quirky little thing that holds my whole heart in her little hand, even when she is acting out. I also have been wearing the hat of stepmother to two girls much older than my six year old. I have been a major player in raising them for the last 17 years, and am glad to say they have survived and are in their early 20’s now.

My husband…the best on the planet. He is truly the other half of me. I may not have gotten it right the first time around, but I like to think of my first marriage as practice to make this one perfect…and it worked!

It wasn’t until I recently got into my 40’s that I decided to write fiction. I have always been well-versed in writing business letters and that sort of communication, but never believed I had the ability to write a complete novel. When I could no longer combat the nagging in my soul to just start writing, Change Me flowed like water.  In fact, the entire prologue was typed into my phone on notepad! Shocked by how well that went, I felt a spark in me that I could not extinguish unless I was writing. I am so proud of the book itself, but pretty dang surprised that I accomplished something I believed impossible. Now I have several more book ideas waiting in the wings to be written. It’s like I opened Pandora’s Box!

When I’m not working as a business manager of a veterinary hospital, in my very minimal free time I love to cook and dream up new recipes. I especially like to bake and create new luscious desserts. Planning and catering parties are challenges I love to take on every chance I get.  I absolutely love to be on the back of a motorcycle riding with my husband, though I don’t get to do it nearly as often as I would like. Crafts? You bet! Music-absolutely a necessity of life. But when I found myself with no time for reading I about lost my mind! Big props to the person who invented the Kindle, who thereby provided the opportunity to reunite me with my favorite pastime.

My dreams? Well, I generally am a “keep it simple” sort of person, but I hope to someday visit every tropical paradise possible! A beach chair, my kindle, and a cold drink, soaking up the sun while the surf whispers in my ear sounds like pure Heaven on Earth to me!
More than anything, I hope that I somehow leave a positive and lasting impression on the people I come in contact with, no matter what form of contact that may be.

Deeper Release Day Launch and Giveaway!!

Title: Deeper
Author: Robin York
In this New Adult debut by Robin York, a college student is attacked online and must restore her name—and stay clear of a guy who’s wrong for her, but feels so right.

When Caroline Piasecki’s ex-boyfriend posts their sex pictures on the Internet, it destroys her reputation as a nice college girl. Suddenly her once-promising future doesn’t look so bright. Caroline tries to make the pictures disappear, hoping time will bury her shame. Then a guy she barely knows rises to her defense and punches her ex to the ground.

West Leavitt is the last person Caroline needs in her life. Everyone knows he’s shady. Still, Caroline is drawn to his confidence and swagger—even after promising her dad she’ll keep her distance. On late, sleepless nights, Caroline starts wandering into the bakery where West works.

They hang out, they talk, they listen. Though Caroline and West tell each other they’re “just friends,” their feelings intensify until it becomes impossible to pretend. The more complicated her relationship with West gets, the harder Caroline has to struggle to discover what she wants for herself—and the easier it becomes to find the courage she needs to fight back against the people who would judge her.

When all seems lost, sometimes the only place to go is deeper.

Advance praise for DEEPER:

“The perfect new adult story . . . West will make you swoon!”—New York Times bestselling author Monica Murphy

“Beautifully written and full of swoony tender moments, toe-curling chemistry, and delicious, twisty angst . . . Stop whatever you’re doing and read this book.”—Christina Lauren, author of the Beautiful Bastard series

Meet West (from Caroline’s POV)
West’s eyes go wide. “Jesus, Caroline, did I hit you?”
He stands, stepping close, reaching for me. It’s as if he completely forgets he’s beating the shit out of Nate, and he just comes for me. The look in his eyes, the outstretched hand—it’s so much like the first time West reached for me, more than a year ago, that I have a moment of déjà vu. My knees buckle, which annoys me. My body is the enemy right now—my incompetent knees, that noise my throat decided to make, my leaking nose, and the pounding pain in my face.
Not to mention my heart, which is trying to escape my chest by flinging itself violently against my ribs.
West’s hand lands on my waist, steady and firm, and it’s stupid. My body is stupid. Because his hand feels kind of awesome.
Obviously I’m concussed. West is the one who hit me, probably, and he’s definitely the one who hit Nate, who—
Nate is sprawled out on the floor, bleeding from the mouth.
Worse, I can’t really bring myself to focus on Nate, because West’s other hand landed on my shoulder briefly, and now he’s lifting my chin. The blood makes his fingers slippery. I’m bleeding on him. And I like it.
This happens with West. He’s only touched me once before, but it isn’t the kind of thing a girl forgets.
God, there are so many, many reasons this is not good, though. Most of them aren’t even health-related. For starters, I’m not into guys who punch people. I’m not into guys at the moment, period. And if I were, I wouldn’t be into West, because West is trouble, and I’m allergic.
“You’re bleeding,” he says.
“You hit me.”
“Let me see.”
He tugs at my wrist, and I let him drag my hand away from my nose, because basically I will let West Leavitt do anything. It’s possible that he’s some kind of magical creature. I mean, he’s not. I know he’s not. He’s a twenty-year-old sophomore at Putnam College, majoring in biology. He shelves books at the library, waits tables on weekends at the Gilded Pear—which is the only fancy restaurant in Putnam—and works the overnight shift at the bakery in town. All that on top of at least a couple of shady, unofficial sources of income, plus classes, makes him a busy guy.
He’s tall—around six feet, maybe a little taller—with messy brown hair, light blue-green eyes, and a great tan.
He’s a guy who goes to my college. That’s all.
But that is not all.
His face is . . . You know how they say human beings are more attracted to symmetrical faces? Well, West’s face is slightly off in every conceivable way. One of his eyebrows tilts up a little bit, and the other one is bisected by a thin white scar. His eyes are a color that isn’t actually a color, with these tiny little flecks that sometimes look shiny, and I don’t understand how that’s possible. His mouth is wider than it ought to be, which makes him look like a smart-ass every time he smiles or almost smiles or thinks, vaguely, about smiling. His nose must have been broken once—or maybe more than once—because it’s not quite where it’s supposed to be. It’s shifted a titch to the left. And honestly? I think his ears are too small.
When he looks right at me, I can barely make words.
That’s why I’m standing here, bleeding, letting him inspect my nose.
