Thank you readers for stopping by the blog. We are interviewed Gage and Marina, characters in Torn by Monica Murphy. This is my own version of the dating game and was so much fun!!

Thanks for stopping by, I’m glad to have you today.

Gage: Glad to be here.

Marina: Thanks so much for having us!

Gage, in 5 words or less, describe your first thoughts of Marina.

Beautiful, intriguing, aloof, sexy, feisty.

Marina, your turn, describes your first thoughts of Gage in 5 words or less.

Gorgeous, arrogant, charming, sexy, trouble.

Who gets to control the TV remote?

Marina: Gage for sure. I don’t have time for TV!

Gage: She’s right. And considering it’s football season at the moment,  I’m spending a lot of time in front of the TV.

Any special memory about him / her that you can never, ever forget?

Gage: The night we went to dinner with Archer and Ivy and how, um, excited Marina got when I was driving my car.

Marina: *blushes* That was a pretty memorable night.

Gage: I’d say.

How many kids are you hoping to have someday?

Gage: Four. At least. I want a big family.

Marina: *gapes at Gage* FOUR? I was going to say two.

Gage: Compromise at three? I bet we’d make some beautiful babies together. Besides, we need to give your brother some competition.

Marina: I have no desire to compete with Archer in how many children we have. That’s more your guys’ style. But…I think I can live with three.

Gage: *smiles* That’s my girl.

How many pairs of shoes does he / she own?

Marina: I have no idea how many pairs of shoes he has. I’ve never counted.

Gage: Right. There’s no chance she could count my shoes because her shoes take over our entire closet. She’s also using the guest room closet as her own in the house we share. Plus she has a giant closet at her parents’ house – full of clothes and more shoes. I think the woman is obsessed.

Marina: You never complain when I wear a sexy pair of heels…and nothing else.

Gage: *grins and nods* Very true. I take back any complaining. *winks*

How would you describe the perfect Sunday?

Gage: Being lazy and hanging out in bed with Marina. We both work a lot. We rarely take any downtime but when we do, we tend to laze around all day and that’s usually on a Sunday.

Marina: Yes, that sounds like heaven. I’m on my feet at the bakery six days a week. My aunt Gina and one of our employees usually works at the bakery on Sunday. That’s my one day to relax. We usually end up watching football though. Sigh.

Gage: Hey, a man loves his football…

How would you plan a vacation if it were up to you?

Marina: Somewhere remote, preferably with a beach. Hot sun, cold water and yummy food and cocktails with Gage by my side. Sounds like heaven.

Gage: I have nothing to add. Marina’s vacation idea sounds perfect.

If you were a character from the sitcom 'Friends', who would it be?

Marina: Oh, Monica, without a doubt. We have a lot of common traits.

Gage: I agree. Me? I’m probably more of a combo of Joey and Chandler.

Do you believe that two people can still be madly in love, even when they're old and gray?

Marina: Absolutely. My parents are still madly in love. Love doesn’t fade as long as the couple makes a conscious effort to keep the flame lit. Let’s face it a relationship is work. But as long as you’re working with a willing partner who’s a good fit, it’s a lot easier.

Gage: I definitely think two people can be madly in love forever. They can have ups and downs—no relationship is perfect—but it can happen.

Crash into You Blog Tour and Giveaway!!

Crash into You (Pushing the Limits #3)
Release Date: 11/26/13
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Hardcover/e-book
474 pages
From acclaimed author Katie McGarry comes an explosive new tale of a good girl with a reckless streak, a street-smart guy with nothing to lose, and a romance forged in the fast lane

The girl with straight As, designer clothes and the perfect life-that's who people expect Rachel Young to be. So the private-school junior keeps secrets from her wealthy parents and overbearing brothers...and she's just added two more to the list. One involves racing strangers down dark country roads in her Mustang GT. The other? Seventeen-year-old Isaiah Walker-a guy she has no business even talking to. But when the foster kid with the tattoos and intense gray eyes comes to her rescue, she can't get him out of her mind.

Isaiah has secrets, too. About where he lives, and how he really feels about Rachel. The last thing he needs is to get tangled up with a rich girl who wants to slum it on the south side for kicks-no matter how angelic she might look.

But when their shared love of street racing puts both their lives in jeopardy, they have six weeks to come up with a way out. Six weeks to discover just how far they'll go to save each other.

Crash into You was amazing. It was everything that I had hoped for in the next installment of the Pushing the Limits series, which happens to be one of my top five contemporary YA romances series. I love Katie's writing, it is so swoony at times I can barely contain myself! I think it is probably the best in the series. I think I just like Isaiah's story. He seemed like the ultimate bad boy that you just want to hug and make better. I have loved him since book one!

Crash into You is written in the dual POV that I love, with Isaiah a foster kid covered in tattoos and piercings and Rachel a rich good girl with a troubled home life. They meet at a chance street race that gives them way more problems than they bargained for. It seems like all the odds are against them, when they have a debt to pay and family in the way.

The ending is so sweet and McGarry has a way of molding characters that you as a reader can love and relate to. The romance was sweet while remaining hot and steamy! I will say that there's a bit more going on in the plot of this book than the previous, and there wasn't as much relationship building time as I would have liked.. but that didn't deter my rating!

Overall, it was great. Read it! Especially if you have a love for fast cars, steamy-swoony romance, and tattooed bad boys that are good at heart!!!

*I received a free ARC of Crash into You from Harlequin Teen via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review*

Sia Blog Tour and Giveaway!!

Thank you for stopping by the Sia Blog Tour! To follow the full tour, click here!

SIA
Release Date: 11/20/13
When seventeen-year-old Sia wakes up on a park bench, she has no idea who or where she is. Yet after a week of being homeless, she’s reunited with her family. At school, she’s powerful and popular. At home, she’s wealthy beyond her dreams. But she quickly realizes her perfect life is a lie. Her family is falling apart and her friends are snobby, cruel and plastic. Worse yet, she discovers she was the cruelest one. Mortified by her past, she embarks on a journey of redemption and falls for Kyle, the “geek” she once tormented. Yet all the time she wonders if, when her memories return, she’ll become the bully she was before…and if she’ll lose Kyle.

I reach my locker and just start unlocking it when Kyle stops beside me. He’s dressed comfortably in faded jeans and a black t-shirt with a yellow Batman logo on it.
I smile broadly. “Hey.” It's hard to describe just how good I feel, seeing him there. Yet I don’t miss the stunned expressions on Amber and Stacy’s faces, or how they spin towards each other to whisper something. In Amber’s world, Kyle is a loser, so I’m sure their words aren’t pleasant.
I turn my back to them.
“Hey,” he replies. He keeps his eyes purposefully away from the other girls. So he knows. What must that feel like, knowing people are looking down on you? Saying cruel things? He doesn’t deserve this.
But he doesn't appear to care. He leans casually against the locker beside me. “Just thought I’d tell you I saw Carol this morning at the soup kitchen.”
I drop my lock and give him my full attention. “You did? Was she okay?”
He nods, grinning at my reaction. I can’t help thinking how much I like his smile. It's warm and genuine, and makes his grass-green eyes sparkle like emeralds. “Yeah. I told her hi for you. She said she can meet you at Elysian Park after school if you want to talk.”
“Awesome, Kyle! Thank you so much!” I throw my arms around his neck without thinking.
After only a slight hesitation, he hugs me back. I breathe in his delicious cinnamon scent, then let go reluctantly and back away. “Oh, I almost forgot. I have your sweater in my—”
Before I can finish, Duke charges in like a bull and slams Kyle into the lockers. “What do you think you’re doing, geek?” he roars. “You keep your floury hands off my girl, doughboy. She’s mine.”
Kyle pushes back, pressing his hands against Duke’s broad chest. “Get off me, Duke.”
But Duke isn't finished. He jams his forearm against Kyle’s neck, suffocating him.
Kyle’s fingers clutch at Duke’s arm as he struggles to break free.
I shove at him. “Duke! Let go!” my shouts echo in the hallway, but even with all my strength, I can’t move him.
“Back off, Sia. I’ll take care of this twerp,” Duke snarls. “He needs to learn a lesson. Nobody touches my girl!”
“That’s right!” Stacy chimes in from behind them. “Sia belongs to Duke!”
I belong to Duke? The nerve of these people!
The two girls press against each as they watch the action. Amber is smiling like a satisfied cat, obviously relishing the moment.
I'm so busy trying to rip Duke’s arm off Kyle's throat that I don't hear Mr. Barrow coming up from behind us. “Duke, would you mind letting go of Kyle? We don’t condone murder in our hallways.”
Finally, Duke drops his arm. But his furious stare remains glued to Kyle’s face.
Kyle stares back, his eyes dark with hate and humiliation. He doesn't bother swiping back the thick brown bangs that have fallen over his forehead during the struggle. “You have nothing to worry about, Duke,” he chokes out. “I’d never go out with a girl like Sia anyway. She’s your type. Not mine.” With that, he walks away, rubbing his throat.
I watch his back as he is swallowed up by the crowds in the hall. The sea of backpacks and t-shirts blur as my eyes fill with tears. It shouldn’t hurt so much. I barely know him. And yet it does hurt. A lot. Like a fist squeezing my heart.

Title: Falling for Mr. Wrong
by
Publication date: November 11th 2013
Looking for Mrs. Right...

Single father of three, Ross Bencher, knows the kind of woman he wants: someone predictable, reliable, and safe, who can give his kids the security they deserve. Someone entirely different from high-altitude mountaineer Kelsey. Kelsey bewitches him with her long legs and wild passion and is about as far from his ideal as a woman can get, but try telling that to his body. Or his heart...

Falling for Mr. Wrong...

When Kelsey agreed to fill in as a temporary nanny for her best friend’s agency before a big climbing expedition, she had no idea she’d be working for drop-dead sexy Ross Bencher, a man she can’t seem to keep her hands off. She knows if she wants to bring herself—and her father—back alive from the Himalayan Mountains, she can’t afford second-guessing, attachments, or distractions. But Ross’s blue eyes and strong hands leave her gasping...and questioning everything she’s ever known about love...

Strong is My Sexy

I write romance novels, so I think quite a bit about what's sexy. There's straightforward sexy: six-pack abs, steel-cut jaw, bedroom eyes. But that sexy doesn't really do it for me. I mean, don't get me wrong, I like a washboard stomach and some big biceps as much as the next girl. But I always get stuck on wondering what's going on behind those gorgeous eyes. When he gazes as you soulfully, is he really just thinking about waxing his chest hair? When he flips through a magazine, is it more likely to be Maxim or Scientific American?

When I think about sexy, it's got to be more than a pretty face. On the other hand, a sexy guy's got to be more than smart or witty. For a hero to be truly sexy, he's got to have something beyond smarts OR looks. He's got to be strong. He's got to have grit.

What do I mean by that? I mean a truly sexy hero has got to be a fighter. He's got to know what he wants and be willing to do anything to get it. He's got to be dogged, fierce, and determined. When he falls in love, it's forever. When he protects you, it's with his heart, soul, and body. He's not going to give up when the woman he loves says no. He's going to find a way to get her change her mind.

So yeah, I'll take a pair of dreamy blue eyes and a five o'clock shadow, a square jaw and barrel chest. But I'll also demand strength of will and courage. I don't just want a pretty guy, I want a strong one.

Now that's sexy.

I wrote my first book when I was in high school--a romance called "A Wild and Stormy Passion," which featured swordplay, kidnapping, a pirate heroine and naughty bits I could only imagine thanks to my extensive reading of novels like "Caress and Conquer." Since then, I've written young adult novels and adult romances of the category, contemporary, and fantasy varieties. I still like the naughty bits best, but I do try to branch out occasionally and write something with a plot.

I am a dabbler and an emotional sponge. I can't read scary books or anything with an unhappy ending. I reserve the right to enjoy country music, puppies, true love, and happily ever after.

If you're perusing my Goodreads shelves, you should know I only review books I want to share the word about. If you ask me, life's too short to read something you don't enjoy.
