Hyde Review

Hyde (Devil's Roses Series #3)Hyde by Tara Brown
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Again, I cannot say enough good things about this series. I laughed, I cried, and well, you have to read the book to understand the rest. The third book was on par with the second, but brought with it a little more spice. The story is told from the POV of Aleks and Hanna.

Waking up in a trunk, sore, and barely clothed was the least of Hanna’s problems. Memories of a dead girl, the death of her father, then the discovery of treachery by those who raised her, plagued her. She needed answers. Reading through journals written by her father she found an answer, but it was far from the one she wanted. Unable to accept what she was, Hanna accepted the help of her father’s longtime friend Marcus. Marcus’ help came at a price, a few simple drops of blood. But nothing is ever simple.

Hanna gets trusted into the paranormal world, discovering that Marcus is the most powerful vampire ever. He lived up to his promise to help her control her inner rage, meanwhile falling in love with her. In fact, every man she meets is smitten with her, even Aleks.

Poor Aleks, feeling like he ruined Aimee’s life, feels compelled to save her dying friend Giselle. He made a deal with Marcus, and a few of the Roses end up paying with their life. Hanna couldn't help but feel it was all her fault. This book is filled with deception, tragedy, and love.
